- Not really, in that you don't need to modify them. Every current HD drive
- has a DD fallback mode which it automatically uses when you insert a DD
- disk. What had to be modified was the cabling, because two pins are used
- differently in PCs.

- This is correct and simply a consequence of the fact that the drives
- are standard PC ones, unmodified.
